SYNTROCIETY
The Ring
For people and organisations who want to support shared living, nature restoration and learning. With knowledge, time, resources or cooperation.
WHAT IT IS
Be involved in a way that fits.
You do not need to form a Lab to contribute to Syntrociety. Perhaps you bring expertise, can help with a question or want to support the work financially. The Ring aims to connect that involvement.
Its form is still developing. An initial conversation helps determine what you can contribute, what you need and what we can currently offer.
THE CYCLE
Contribute and learn from one another.
Cooperation grows when people can both contribute and learn. Experiences from practice can raise new questions; knowledge from elsewhere can help practice move forward.
We want to organise this exchange carefully. A contribution needs clear agreements about purpose, commitment and involvement. Fixed benefits or forms of participation are not yet established.
WHAT GOES ROUND
Time, knowledge, attention and resources.
A conversation, a skill, an introduction or financial room can help the work move forward. Which contribution is useful depends on the question and what people can sustain.
In the intended form, participants can put proposals to the federation. How this is organised will be developed in The Ring’s agreements. Your contribution and involvement must be clear.
AUTHORITY
Responsibility belongs with clear agreements.
A contribution does not automatically confer decision-making power over a Lab. Labs carry their own responsibilities; shared decisions fall under the Charter’s agreements. The Ring’s rights and obligations must be recorded separately.
ACROSS BORDERS
Locally connected, across borders.
In time, The Ring could connect people in different countries. This requires attention to local law, organisation and responsibilities.
No national Ring organisations or established international participation terms have been announced here yet.
JOINING
Begin with a conversation.
The Ring is being developed. Anyone getting in touch now can help shape it and discuss what is already possible.
Tell us what speaks to you and what you want to contribute or learn. Together we can find a concrete next step.
Software subscriptions
The Ring and Carry the Work are separate from software subscriptions. A contribution does not buy software access. Buying software or receiving a free package does not enrol you in The Ring, a Lab, a Circle or a newsletter. App access and each form of consent are checked separately.
Want to contribute financially? First discuss the purpose, spending and agreements with us. Online enrolment is not open yet.
