SYNTROCIETY

The Ring

The organ at the edge of the body, where its exchange with the outside world goes round.

WHAT IT IS

A living body forms organs where it needs them.

Syntrociety is a living body. Its cells are the Labs. Each Lab is autonomous, carries its own life, and is a full part of the whole. Where cells gather around a shared function, an organ takes shape. The federation is such an organ. The Ring is another.

The Ring sits at the body's outer edge, where it meets the outside world. It is the way the body stays connected to the larger whole.

THE CYCLE

A circle returns.

A ring is a circle, and a circle returns. What passes through it does not flow one way. It goes round.

This is the difference between The Ring and a circle of donors. A donor gives, and the gift moves one way and stops. In The Ring, giving and receiving are one motion, going round.

WHAT GOES ROUND

Energy in many forms, and a voice.

What moves through The Ring is energy in many forms: means, but also knowledge, attention, the willingness to think along, to test, to take part. And what you receive is not a thank-you or a newsletter. It is a share in something living, and a voice.

Those in The Ring can bring consent-proposals to the federation. No authority over it, but a proposal that is weighed. To matter, not to rule.

AUTHORITY

Authority stays within the unit.

Those in The Ring hold no authority over the Labs, and the Labs hold none over The Ring. Each unit governs itself. This is the same law that holds everywhere in Syntrociety: authority stays within the unit, and what touches others travels by consent. Influence flows through the proposal, never through power.

ACROSS BORDERS

Each country carries its own Ring.

The Ring is an organ of cells. A Ring-cell in one country holds fully within that country's laws. A Ring-cell in another holds within other laws. Together they form The Ring, not as a single international entity, which is complex and brittle, but as local cells that connect the way the Labs do.

So it grows across borders without growing heavy. It stays a body of local cells, and each country carries its own Ring.

JOINING

If this moves you, get in touch.

The Ring is still taking shape. What stands here is what we see now; the form grows as people come in. Those who come now help give The Ring its shape.

Joining begins with a conversation. Write to us about what draws you, and we will look together at what fits.
